Far too busy to enjoy and unruly children
Eureka! The National Children's Museum的点评
点评：The museum seemed incredibly busy, too busy to enjoy. As you have to pre-book all I can conclude is that the museum has decided to oversell weekends. The number of people in the museum just made it too busy to enjoy any of the exhibits. The second point isn’t really the museums fault, but it is enough to say we won’t be returning. Unfortunately some parents seem to think it’s a soft play or crèche, where they arrive, and then ignore their children, choosing to stand on their phones, or more take a picture for social media and then ignore their children. My two year old was shoved out of the way by older children, and things forcibly taken from her hands, when others decided they would rather have it. One child, ran into the play shop exhibit, and decided to launch everything off the shelves, irrespective of whether others were being hit by objects, again no parents in sight. In the end we went to the cafe for a coffee and cake, which was reasonably priced and went home. It wasn’t quite the experience I hoped for my child, especially having such fond memories as a child myself. The exhibits did look good and seemed to have been recently refurbished, but we won’t be returning.
