Excellent afternoon discovering this real gem
East Riddlesden Hall, National Trust的点评
点评：Excellent afternoon out at this gem of a property, made even more enjoyable by the friendly welcome from all the staff and volunteers.
On arrival we decided to have a light lunch in the cafe, where the food and drinks were good quality and relatively reasonably priced.
As the inevitable rain arrived, we headed into the Hall and were very impressed by the commitment of the team of volunteer guides. Their knowledge and ability to capture the imagination of visitors of all ages really made the story of East Riddlesden Hall come to life.
Special mention to Ros, our guide in the master bedroom and dining room, who gave us a wonderful insight into what life was like for the inhabitants of this home in the 15th and 16th centuries.
The rain having eased, we stepped out into the Hall's beautifully tended gardens which make a lovely backdrop to the building.
In all, a very interesting and enjoyable visit - highly recommended!
