点评：Visited via an organised coach day trip
My first time here and I absolutely loved it.
Loads to see and do
The gardens and grounds are beautiful I absolutely loved the Himalayan Garden.
The house is great too you have access to the rooms on the ground floor and then down in the basement area to see the servant quarters and kitchen.
There's a nice cafe in the house selling cakes and light snacks with hot and cold drinks. I had the carrot cake it was delicious. You can preorder afternoon tea and have it . There's indoor and outdoor seating the outdoor seating is on the terrace overlooking the gardens.
There's plenty of toilets in the house and around the grounds I spotted plenty of toilet blocks. There is also a cafe in the coach house and stable block where you can have a more substantial meal again with lots of seating inside and out and a good choice of snacks hot and cold drinks There's a book and gift shop there too.
There is also another cafe right by the walled gardens can't comment on that as we didn't venture in we went straight into the garden.
There's disabled access available to the house and there's a shuttle bus that you can ring and it will pick you up and drop you off at the various stops throughout the grounds so people less mobile can get around. There's loads of seating areas too.
All staff we met were really helpful, friendly , chatty and informative. And that goes from the staff in the house to the gardeners and cafe staff.
They do tours throughout the year of the private floors of the house something we want to come back and do.
Highly recommend if your visiting the area
