Hidden Gem, Bring a Picnic!

点评：Only 10 mins from our house so I don’t know how we only just discovered this place. Excellent train ride, we were able to take a pram on (and wasn’t made to feel like a nuisance for doing so, the conductor even helped me lift the pram on) and babies ride free.
Wish we’d brought a picnic as the stop off on the train ride was a long walk up a steep hill; we decided to head towards the rose garden but had to turn back as the baby needed food/nappy change. Was further than we thought—the park is massive.
Was great fun watching the train turn around and all the staff were courteous and helpful.
Think it was £30 for an annual train pass; we were tempted! The park would be a nice place to go running regularly, we thought.
Highly recommend— world’s oldest non stop running railway. I’m always proud to discover places like this still very much alive.
