Rainy day visit
Lydford Gorge Alpacas的点评
点评：Booked this prior to our break in Okehampton as had plans to visit the gorge on the same day. Unfortunately the weather didn’t get the memo as it was chucking it down all day!
However Helen confirmed when we arrived that there was a covered space in order that we wouldn’t get too wet and could still enjoy the experience.
Helen was very friendly, approachable and knowledgeable with regards to the Alpacas she looks after. She gave us information to how to respond to these animals as they all have different temperaments and personalities. We could sit on straw bales in the covered barn and we’re given hay to feed to the alpacas and then a treat of carrots too.
The alpacas (and sheep!) were very curious and most wanted to come and see us of their own accord and were free to come and go as they wished.
Most were really friendly and would take food out of our hands - and some were happy to be stroked too!
A worthwhile experience all round.
