The BEST Linen in Naxos. The BEST owner too…

点评：Babis (I hope I got that right) was simply INSPIRATIONAL. We stopped because I saw a color of linen shirt I was after while in Greece. The classic blue. I have looked at a lot of shops (some in Athens - some in other Cycladic islands) but a handful are not made in Greece. This is a dealbreaker for me. When I asked Babis he said “OF COURSE!” With a HUGE smirk. In fact Babis was wearing the exact same classic blue shirt.
We chatted for a bit even while he was helping other customers and seemed generally excited to learn about each other. There happened to be this other mint color I was interested in but they didn’t have my size out. Babis found one in his stock and I had to get both. I wore those instead of the clothes I packed for my trip to Naxos I loved them so much.
My experience was so positive with his heartwarming attitude, his fun and often joke-y conversation, and the quality of goods that I returned on my last day to buy a pair of white linen pants. There were other shops but I walked straight to his. He helped me find the perfect size and that’s all she wrote.
The next time I am Naxos I will stop by if nothing else but to say hello. Who knows??? Maybe I’ll need another color of shirt…. 🤪
