约克郡雕塑公园的点评
点评：What a fantatastic experience. having visited Perry Green ,in Hertfordshire, the chance to see Henry Moore sculptures in this huge and beautiful setting was not to be missed . However the exhibition is so much more and we were certaining not disappointed. The fact that the weather was boiling hot ,over 30c, clear skies should have made it difficult to walk around but under the many beautiful mature trees in the park there is always shade. There were lots of kids , tellingly not bored… so much space to run around and explore and be kids. Two sculptures I could have done without were Damien Hirst’s, ando in my view he has an odd way at looking at life. the Madonna in cushion was gruesome on a par r with that awful “Verity’ statue in Ifracombe and for me a definite stain on the landscape buyout I suppose it gets people talking!
The exhibits in the Bothy garden and in the gallery by William Kentridge were really fascinating and the exhibition gave an insight in this creative man’s approach and skills. Definitely not to be missed.
The cafeteria / restaurants excellent and all the staff so happily friendly and helpful.

It’s a short hop of the MI too to add to you itinerary but it deserves time to explore.
