A fabulous place to visit for nature lovers and art lovers alike!

点评：I am fairly local to Corsham Court, yet, am an 'outdoors' person, preferring a dog walk through woodlands, by rivers.... Yet, decided given this venue also has the gardens I would also take in the house - briefly and take my time in the gardens. And was glad to have also visited the house; firstly the staff were super, friendly and very knowledgeable. There were helpful leaflets / map available too, with names of the paintings to be seen in each grand room, and I found the map of the gardens with numbered trees and their names very useful.
The painting collection is OUTSTANDING, and I feel a must see for art lovers. And I may even return to take more in of these masterpieces.
It appears that the new young owners of the vast property, are very 'hands on' and are making their mark on the place already with new projects, or restorative projects. And this new energy can only be good for this place moving forward.
I did spend plenty of time in the grounds. If you are a tree-lover you'll love the collection here, some incredibly old. The estate is home to a 250-year-old Oriental Plane that has the most spreading tree in the UK and is one of the largest in Europe. Where the branches touch the ground it has rooted. Makes a great and protective sleeping area for the peacocks, which were introduced to the estate way back (in the 18th Century I think). Enjoy your visit!
