Albion Hills Conservation Park的点评
点评：We camped in Deer Run #95 this weekend and feel compelled to write a review because before we left we weren't sure what to expect due to (a) lack of photos on their own site, and (b) a mixed bag of reviews on here. We were very pleased with our experience. Deer Run is probably the most family-friendly loop because of the playground. Apparently it is quite recent that the loop has been paved, which one long-term camper told us has made it more family-friendly because kids can ride their bikes and scooters around the loop quite safely. Yes, the bathroom at this section is just a vault, but it's a flush toilet with sink which is good enough. There are full showers/full bathrooms a short walk or drive away either at the chalet or at the next loop over. Despite other reviews, all Deer Run sites have firepits (maybe that's new?), and all picnic tables seem new, and all sites in Deer Run have electricity and water. We have added some photos because I would strongly recommend to Albion Hills that they add site photos to their website -- it was a true mystery knowing what to expect our site to look like. It is true that you should pick your site carefully if you can. Try to avoid camping on the roads that connect campsite sections. Some of those sites are literally on the side of the road with no privacy. We liked that Deer Run has some tree cover and because it's on a loop, very little vehicle traffic. This park has great mountain bike trails and also there is the Caledon Rail Trail which is nice leisurely ride; in one direction, a 30 minute bike ride leads to an ice cream shop in Caledon East, and a 10 minutes ride in the other direction led to Caledon Hills Brewpub in an old church with a great patio.
