约克大教堂的点评
点评：York Minister is in a word, marvellous. I mean simply marvellous. We did a free tour which is an absolute must as the guide shared incredibly deep information about so much of the Cathedral. If the tour group is large you need to stay close. The crypts and underground museum were highlights with so much great curation and many things to see and consider.
I finished it by paying to ascend to the tower, which was physically challenging, but incredibly rewarding. Because there is only one public path, they allow people to go once an hour and the first person to ascend, cannot start their descent until the last person gets to the top. It also means you really cannot change your mind half way (although there are a couple of spots where you could do so if you really had to). It’s far more challenging than St Pauls in London as the stairs are way tighter and more medieval.
