约克大教堂的点评
点评：York Minster is absolutely breathtaking and an absolute must-visit when in York. From the moment you step inside, the sheer scale and beauty of the architecture is incredible.
The stained glass windows are absolutely stunning, especially when the light pours through them, and the detail in the stonework is remarkable you could spend hours just looking up. As a matter of fact we did!
We heard people talking about their climbing of the 275 steps up to the tower and how it was well worth the effort with spectacular views across the city that make the steps worthwhile.
There’s such a peaceful yet awe inspiring atmosphere throughout the building, and the history behind it makes the experience even more special.
It’s worth noting that entry is £20 per person, which for many people is a fair bit of money.
However, considering the history, preservation, and the experience you get, it does feel justified and helps maintain this incredible landmark for future generations.
There is a fair amount of work going on both inside and outside which may restrict some areas as we found out.
Overall, a truly unforgettable visit York simply wouldn’t be the same without it.
