A unusually disappointing visit to a National Trust site.

点评：Although fairly local to us we had never visited Hanbury Hall. We love National Trust locations and have been members for 9 years. This was a very disappointing visit though. Firstly the signage was very inadequate. Just finding the two cafes was a struggle. Who knew they were adjacent to each other and really could be called one restaurant. We used the ‘new’ cafe which whilst looking the part was awful. The worst of it was that my wife and I ordered the same meal and were told that unfortunately they only had one so my wife chose to have an alternative. Unbelievably within five minute two more of the meal were delivered to other customers’ tables. Very annoying. The waitress we talked to about the problem was lovely and obviously seemed to suffer from the inadequacies of the set up quite a lot. Our arrival at Hanbury Hall was also not to normal National Trust standards. The gent who checked our membership was not friendly, just matter of fact and his ‘facts’ were very limited. We will not be returning to this location.
