A beautiful heritage site with plenty to experience
Witley Court & Gardens的点评
点评：I’ve always loved Witley Court. The gardens are always beautiful and you can tell lots of maintenance goes into maintaining the site and its gardens. It’s really nice to go for a walk around the site and have a picnic in the sunshine.
On the day that we visited, we were lucky enough that the catacombs were open beneath the church so we had a look in there which was awesome as I’ve never seen it before. There was also a boat ride for a few quid per person on the lake. The guy giving the boat tour was really knowledgeable and gave us an amazing tour of the lake.
The actual ruins of the house is amazing to look at and there’s plenty of information boards to read about the history of the manor.
We watched the fountain as well which is just as amazing as I remembered. This place is amazing and I would highly recommend a visit if you’ve never been. Just keep in mind that you do have to pay for parking when you arrive even though you pay for entry. Honestly it’s fairly understandable considering lots of money clearly goes into maintaining this place.
