Most elaborate Christmas decorations yet.

点评：We hae been coming to the hall to see the Christmas decorations for some years. The family, staff and volunteers handmake most of the decorations with plant material from the grounds with some addition of beautiful glass ornaments. There are some very skillfull crafters involved. This year's decorations are the most elaborate and beautiful we have seen.
The courtyard cafe is very small with only 6 inside tables , in the summer the outside courtyard has plenty of space , in the winter there is an enclosed marquee with heating, it has a christmas tree and was very cosy. The cafe kitchen is mainly serving cakes but also has baked potatoes with a variety of fillings which are gluten free and suitable for Coeliacs (which we needed). In addition there is a food van with a wood-fired oven which they are currently using for "wood-fired sandwiches" , these are actually panini which are made onsite not bought-in or frozen, and are available with a variety of fillings including a Christmas special which was delicious, they were selling a lot of these on the Friday we were there.
Although there is the remains of a manor house in the care of English heritage the house is not free to EH members but is for HHA. This is clear on the website.
