Oh, Sledmere, what have you done?

点评：We have been Sledmere Friends members for several years, and have enjoyed all our visits; the layout, friendliness of staff, animals, cafe, etc.
When the "exciting" changes were made recently, curtailing visiting days and reducing the season, we did not renew, waited to see what effect this would have. We visited yesterday to attend the Spring Fair, which was ok, nothing outstanding, and found the "exciting" changes were very disappointing and haphazard.
The "farm" has been relocated and diminished; there's just one Shire horse now, a few chickens and goats and a couple of Shetlands.
The garden centre is sadly no more, gift shop halved to make room for a dog friendly cafe.
The access to the 'new' car park is almost single track, causing problems on entry and exit.
Worst of all, by moving the Farm shop etc. across that fast road, Sledmere has created an accident waiting to happen. Ok, they'd got a couple of staff members in hi-viz waving arms about in the middle of the road, but there are no warning signs for approaching traffic about pedestrians crossing in an area of reduced visibility.
