Royal Air Force Museum Midlands的点评
点评：Brilliant museum. Full of exhibits, information, interactive elements and knowledgeable staff/ volunteers. The museum is an shining example of how something can be informative, fun and well-run for a very small overall cost. We booked in advance so everything was really easy on the day - it was free entry with a £6.50 parking charge on line. We also paid for an advanced 4-token package for the virtual reality experience and saved again on the price (£14.40 for 4 tokens - this meant we could have 2 experiences each and saved over £5 compared with on the day prices). The VR experiences we chose were the Dambusters flight and RAF Duxford Spitfire flight - both were brilliant and we'd definitely recommend these. There is so much to see and read that you need at least 3 to 4 hours (if not longer) to really do it justice. We were there just over 4 hours but unfortunately had to cut short our time due to another engagement - we could have stayed a lot longer than we did and the time flew by (no pun intended!). There is also a RAF themed playground for smaller children and a cafe area serving basic lunch items, cakes, hot and cold drinks. The visitor shop is in hangar 2 and has a lot in it - I would have liked to also see a smaller range of those items on sale in the entrance/ cafe too in case you miss them. I also really liked all the thanks and 'nods' given to various volunteers that help run the place including ex-servicemen and women and the community based information that's displayed. It showed how embedded the RAF/ museum is in Cosford.
