Brilliant free day out, even with one hangar closed!
Royal Air Force Museum Midlands的点评
点评：We had a fantastic time visiting the RAF Museum at Cosford. If you have any interest in aviation or history, this place is an absolute must-see—and the fact that general admission is completely free is incredible! Just pay for parking.
There were planes from many periods, including planes from the early days of aviation, WW1, WW2 the Cold War era etc. Standing underneath them really gives you a sense of scale that photos just can't capture.
The only downside to my visit was that Hangar 1 is currently closed while they do some major refurbishment work on it.
Even with that section closed off, there is still so much to see across the rest of the site that it easily fills a few hours. The staff and volunteers were super friendly and happy to share their knowledge, and the whole site is really well laid out. Just make sure you book your free entry ticket online before you go! I'll definitely be returning once the Hangar 1 works are finished.
