点评:Absolutely appalling customer service.
We visited as a family of six, hoping to enjoy a nice breakfast together. Upon entering the café, we noticed there were no available tables that could seat six people. The staff were standing around, offering no assistance or guidance, so we took the initiative to move a table for four and a table for two together and sat down.
We then saw a sign that informed us that scrambled and poached eggs were unavailable due to extended wait times. At this point, we had still received no service whatsoever, so we decided to leave.
As we were walking out, clearly annoyed that we had moved the tables, a member of staff sarcastically shouted “Bye-bye!” at us and proceeded to close the sliding doors to the café in our faces. It was, without a doubt, one of the worst displays of customer service I’ve ever experienced.
I mentioned to the woman—apparently the manager—how much the place has deteriorated since being taken over. Her response: “It’s been three years, so you clearly don’t come here very often,” before once again sliding the doors shut in my face.
I will never return to this venue. Save your money and visit Hockley Garden Market Centre next door instead—a much friendlier and more welcoming environment.
