Fun way to get a flat white

点评：Firstly: BOOK in advance. Their opening times change in the warmer months. The booking system is super easy- just save yourself some grief, because if you turn up and you’ve not booked the place might not be open. We booked an 11am and had we turned up for the 10am slot without booking we’d have been waiting at a locked gate.
Secondly: it’s really well maintained. Clean (including the toilet), fresh and there’s free parking on site.
They were exceptionally helpful- the woman who dealt with us was informative, kind, personable- I really liked her.
We hired 2 kayaks for a couple of hours- plenty of time to get up river well beyond the motorway noise.
Top tip- have a waterproof pouch for your phone so you’ve got some cash. There’s a cafe on the water that only boats, paddle boards and kayaks can get to called the Floaters cafe just at the end of all the boats before you hit the country park- they do a good flat white!
It made for a great birthday activity in a sunny July day. Highly recommended
