Dreadful experience of afternokn tea!

点评：I booked an afternoon tea a a surprise for my husband and I on 29 December. What a disappointment that was!
Considering the cost at £40 per head the afternoon tea was an absolute disgrace.
The sandwiches were meagre to say the least and the coffee was cool despite being told to a manager who promptly took our cups away to refill them only to come back with more cool coffee.
The door lock in the carriage appeared to be broken and due to a small teapot being used necessitated the volunteer (I assume) making numerous trips to refill both tea and lukewarm coffee pot that the door would not stay closed.
As a consequence we were absolutedly frozen which wasn't helped by no heating bring on the train.
The staff seemed more concerned in serving wine and prosecco to passengers with mulled wine and again wine on the station platform before boarding.
I also noticed one volunteer making such a fuss over 2 ladies across from where we sat. It was very obvious he was enamored by these ladies.
Considering the cost we were very, very disappointed and felt extremely let down.
We will not be back as we felt robbed!
What a let down! Total waste of £80!
I wouldn't give this experience any stars but no option to do this.
