点评：The Maya Beach Club is undeniably beautiful — the resort, the beach, and the overall atmosphere are high-end and luxurious. However, I do not recommend it for solo travelers, especially women.
While the shuttle service is convenient, I had an uncomfortable experience. After being dropped off, the driver texted me and began hitting on me — clearly taking advantage of the fact that I was alone. I noticed that this does not happen when solo travelers are grouped with others during transport.
Important tips if you're visiting solo:
Do not give your phone number to the shuttle driver.
Avoid accepting their number.
When ready to leave, go directly to the front desk or poolside registry area to arrange your return.
Also, be aware: drivers may offer to take you back to your hotel and then ask how much you paid for a taxi to negotiate a fare with you — this felt unprofessional and exploitative.
