Derek Jarman Garden Prospect Cottage的点评
点评：On arrival at the cottage we opened the door to an awful musty smell. I found a smelly mop in the "cleaning cupboard" which I had to put outside. The single bedroom had at least 12 spiders and countless moths!! My daughter spent the first evening of our holiday hoovering her room because of thick cobwebs and dust. We have stayed in old cottages before, so we know to expect a couple of spiders, but this was ridiculous. It's infested! The master bedroom was to a very poor standard as well, thick dust and cobwebs behind the headboard, and the underside of the bed was sickeningly filthy. Please tell me: is this fair?
On Tuesday, a workman appeared at the cottage and came in to measure up for a window!! It would have been courteous to have had a message to let us know. If we had not been there at the time, I am unsure and frankly quite concerned as to how he would have gotten into the cottage.
I was very disappointed and upset with the state of the cottage. I had the owners number, but it desperately NEEDED a deep clean, so what could I do? I had nowhere else to go. I saved all year for my holiday and it was ruined.
I contacted the owner on our return home to let her know and sent photos to show the state of the cottage but she just insulted me. I only expected an apology but she accused me of being an professional complainer trying to get a refund. I have never had the need to complain about anywhere we have stayed before. I cannot recommend this property, which is a shame as it could be a lovely little place with some TLC and a decent owner.
