A 'must do tour' of the Big Red and Birdsville Town.

点评：Alex picked us up from the Birdsville Information Centre and we started off with a tour of the town. He gave us the history of the town and people which was really cool, then headed out to the racecourse where the Birdsville Races will be held next week, then onto the Old Diamantina Crossing and we saw stacks of pelicans.
We headed out to the infamous Big Red where we were able to kick off our shoes and walk up to the apex of the dune and take stacks of photos of where the Big Red Bash is normally held (still under water) and the other side where you can see the QAA Line (still a lot of water there too) and then we relaxed in the chairs provided, sipped on wine, champagne etc. and munched on the snacks provided and watched the sun set. What an amazing sight!
Alex was an amazing host, sharing jokes, telling us stories and the history and answering our questions. This is definitely worth paying and doing the tour when you head to Birdsville.
