Very average given the extortionate entrance prices!

点评：Very average compared to other zoos. We were in a party of 8 and we all thought it was a bit dull compared to other places we had been. The entrance fee we felt was extortionate. 2 adults and 1 3 year old was just under £70! (That’s not far off Longleat prices) I think they have just looked at what other zoos charge and thought they would go with that. £15 would be acceptable but not the £28 per adult we were charged. The bird display was very good until one flew off and didn’t come back, the 2 staff I must say were very good and clearly an asset to the park. Many of the enclosures looked empty and you needed a good pair of binoculars to see the elephants who seemed to just be plonked in an empty field with no vegetation etc and were clearly not happy as they were walking the perimeter constantly. Drinks are way overpriced so take your own. 2 coffees were over 8 quid and 2 bottles of drink were nearly 6 quid. The highlight of the day was the soft play area. The maze was shut, the bird walkthrough was shut, all the little cafes etc were shut. If you wanted a drink you had to walk all the way back to the main entrance. Overall very poor considering it’s July. It’s another one to tick off the list but we wouldn’t return. Don’t let my opinions put you off but it’s definitely not worth what we had to pay and just felt a bit disappointed.
