Ye Olde Vigour Inn的点评
点评：A very shabby looking pub from the outside but our curiosity was piqued. We had not read any reviews before entering and believe me if we had, our custom would have been offered elsewhere. On entering it is dark, dingy and smells horrendously of damp, it is so pungent you can almost taste it. A very small bar area on entry, the " lanlady" who is mentioned in all the reviews was sat in the corner. Honestly she did chat with us so we didn't experience the negativity others have felt. We sat in the room next door which was unpleasant due to the smell of damp. I could hear the landlady talking to another lady ( a regular I think ) explaining how unwell she felt and how difficult things are, she didn't look or sound very well, though this is no excuse for rudeness as others have experienced. We didn't use the toilet facilities, the smell and depressive environment prevented us. This pub has great history but has been left to decay in every aspect, such a shame as it could be a cracker given it's position in the village. I do wonder what Caemas residents think of it. Personally having worked in health services this building should be condemned, I hope it eventually is taken over by someone with imagination and care, it deserves another chance. Sadly I wouldn't recommend a visit here, purely on the environmental aspect it would be unwise.
