点评:After a brief Facebook post saying there were to be WW2 re-enactments taking place, we decided to take a short hop in the car and take our 6 and 1 year old boys to visit.
We were all so glad that we did, for only a small museum run entirely by volunteers there is so much to see and learn, no matter what your age. My 6 year old loved trying on the pilot clothing, seeing what life would have been like for them and looking at the fantastically curated displays. Each volunteer I spoke to gave such a detailed, and often personal, insight into the role that this small airfield played during WW2 and had it not been for a 1 year old needing a nap, we would have surely stayed longer.
I'm not sure if it happens most weeks, but watching German and Russian soldiers fighting on a battlefield was a real bonus!
For only £10, (£5 per adult as children are free), it was a brilliant family morning out and we'll be back at the start of July for the Bottisham at War weekend.
