点评：We visited the Paul Bunyan statue in 2023 and 2024 and it’s indeed very impressive—kids had plenty of fun!
In 2023 we also spent some time in the Paul Bunyan Historical Museum (just steps from the statue) and we enjoyed our visit very much! There were plenty of artifacts related to local history—and many decades ago it was a very thriving town, with a huge mill and a train depot. The train tracks have been gone for years—now the Heartland State Trail is located on the abandoned railways right-of-way.
However, the major “attraction” of the museum was Mr. Frank Lamb, its President, who regaled us with numerous stories, as well as played the piano for us. We admired his enthusiasm and dedication and it was a real pleasure to have met him!
