点评:A tiny but beautifully formed museum packed with information and objects relating to Oliver Cromwell, and two extremely attentive, friendly and well-informed volunteer stewards.
We deliberately chose to visit off-peak and during school hours so that it would be as quiet as possible as my son does not like crowds, but unfortunately one of the stewards was so eager to share their very extensive knowledge with us that it quickly became overwhelming and we had to leave as we did not feel able to actually access the displays (for example, if I asked my son a question about an object to try to engage him, the steward jumped in to answer at length, and re-joined us quickly if we moved away). Whilst it does feel churlish to complain about genuine enthusiasm and I imagine that this approach pleases a lot more visitors than it puts off, it did put us off.
I would still recommend this museum, but perhaps only to my chattier friends....
