点评:We were observing, while on holiday in Norway, that many people go around the world to see things, but often miss things near home. This was true when it comes to my wife and King's College. So, we put that straight the other day. The college is one of the most beautiful in the university, and probably the most iconic. For most tourists entry is made along the side of the college (down Senate House Passage), and there is a fee for admission (University alumni, and locals need to show ID for a waiver). The main Porter Gate is also a way in for students and alumni). If entering via the Porter Gate, you are greeted with the view of a grand central fountain (this can be visited after the chapel if entering via the tourist route). The main feature most come to see is the chapel and its fan-vaulted ceilings. There are also views of the Backs (with the overhanging willows and the punts). It is a beautiful place to visit and a "must see."
