Once in a lifetime opportunity to view a range of celestial objects through the best collection of telescopes I've ever seen!

点评：I cannot recommend this experience highly enough. I am a complete amateur astronomer and I learned so much from spending time with Gustavo. There were two sessions during the experience - 1. Outside his house viewing stars through optical telescopes, and 2. Inside his house with a five screen set up that is rigged to a telescope in an observatory on his roof, with cameras attached (astrometrics and astrophotography).
I was part of a group of 18 people who spent a few hours there. During the first session we viewed a range of celestial objects including stars, planets (Jupiter and it's moons, Saturn and it's rings and moons, Venus), super clusters, nebulas, and galaxies (including Andromeda). Gustavo is kind, knowledgeable, incredibly engaging and patient & approachable, and super passionate about astronomy. He also had the most impressive collection of telescopes that I've ever seen under one roof (I'm very jealous!). Of the other 18 people, none had any prior experience of star gazing and they all had a great time - no prior experience required as Gustavo takes care of everything. He provided lots of interesting facts and taught us how to navigate and measure the sky using the northern constellations.
For the second session we headed indoors to his digital observatory, as noted above, and he taught us how he monitors objects in the sky, identified exo planets, comets, and how all of his software works. This was absolutely fascinating, and again, no prior knowledge required. Gustavo is in the driving seat so you to just sit back and watch the show.
Gustavo provided drinks and snacks, and encouraged people to get stuck into stargazing, enjoyed the food and drink, chatting, and above all else, asking questions. Thank you, Gustavo!
