Segedunum Roman Fort and Museum的点评
点评：It’s a shame the Belgium visitor failed to appreciate the museum as I totally disagree with the comments.
The museum has made huge efforts to appeal to many ages with a lot of artefacts, interactive exhibits, reconstructions and short films to bring to life what it must have been like in the fort. A good idea is to first of all take the lift, or stairs, and go to the top of the observation tower where you can look down and appreciate the original layout of the fort. Also it gives you a very good view of the river and surrounding area.
We went on a Wednesday and it was quiet.
You could easily spend a couple of hours here going up the tower, round the museum and wandering round the site.
My only suggestion would be to have picnic benches outside so that families could sit and eat a picnic in good weather as there is no cafe as such just hot drinks available and snacks.
A must visit place for those with children studying the Romans at school.
