Biei Train Station的点评
点评：Noted that most articles contribution are in Japanese! So maybe I can drop 1 to add on, from an SG traveler experience. 😊
We have reached here from Sapporo via JR, changed train @Asahikawa. The other route via Takigawa Station is less periodic by train frequency. Still it took us more than 1.5 hours .
A small station, abit surprise for us as it seems to be gateway to nearby touristy Blue Pond, Forest Clock / Furano & even to Furano.. !
A manned station there is no shops within and one just exit to the open space, with Taxi & Bus waiting area. Do make a visit to the Biei Tourism Association which is a bldg. 5 mins walk to the left . Here one can ask for more info especially the bus timing and the also sell tour tickets. We spend some time here to freshen up and shop for some handmade souvenirs. I even bought a nice t-shirt here, 2200 yen with Tokaimachi.
We subsequently took the local bus #39 nearby to the Blue Pond.
