I am legally blind, and I went on their website with my assistive technology and purchased a ticket for the Pohopoco Creek Alpacas.
I was excited to go because I love animals and I thought this would be a nice thing to do before leaving the Poconos for the summer.
When I purchased the ticket, I purchased it for myself, although I do travel with a guide to help me walk around.
To my surprise, soon after purchasing the ticket, I received an Email from the owner asking if I only purchased One ticket.
This was completely unexpected.
When I wrote back that, yes, as I am blind, I purchased one ticket and that I’d have a guide with me, the owner responded that the guide would have to purchase a ticket As Well.
When I inquired if I could purchase a half price ticket or reduce price ticket as I am blind, she responded by saying NO, and she was canceling the reservation.
The owner never gave me a chance to accept the reservation just for myself or amend it in anyway.
Additionally, she wrote back that I would not enjoy it anyway.
Who is she to say or know what I would or would not enjoy.
This is very poor Customer Service, and not a very nice way to communicate with someone who is disabled.
I am sorry, but I would avoid this place at all costs, if even for the Incredibly Poor customer service, or Lack there of!
