点评:Picked up really promptly, from our selected pick up point, our Guide Victor was full of brilliant information about the island, the volcano and so much more!
We picked up a few more guests and drove up to the national park.
Now - ADVICE HERE.
Whatever time of year you go : IT WILL BE COLD!
We wore long trousers, and packed hoodies as we knew over 2000m, it's going to get chilly! (Blankets are also provided by the company).
We stopped at a lively little cafe halfway up, I recommend following Victor's advice, buy a BARRAQUITO, the Canary Islands coffee!
Then on to the national park, with the amazing lava fields, and stunning views!
Onto the restaurant Papillion, the highest restaurant on the island, the food was OK, basic, but tasty, homemade veg soup, followed by breaded chicken with veg. Beer on arrival plus wine (pretty good Spanish Red), water, soft drinks all included, the dessert was very sweet, chocolate mousse.
Then back to a view point, to watch a stunning sunset above the clouds, with Cava or orange juice, beautiful and romantic (if you like that sort of thing).
Then back to restaurant for a quick loo stop, before making your way to see the stars!
4 very technical telescopes set up so you can literally see the craters on the moon (in the most detail I've ever seen!), plus 3 more amazing star phenomenon.
Victor then gets out his laser pointer (after the Star Wars light saber gags), he showed us amazing constellations in the night sky, with knowledge, and with a bit of theatre!
This is a fairly long trip, we were picked up at 3.40pm and dropped off at 11.30pm, but there are plenty of toilet stops, and definitely plenty to see all the way through this excursion.
A great day out, evening meal and drinks provided, you pay for coffee etc at the other stops, but that's it.
I highly recommend this, as you'll never get the chance to see as many stars back at home, nor visit a dormant volcano with so much history!
Thanks Teide by Night, and Victor, our guide! Brilliant!
