Absolute must to see Monument Valley Tribal Park with a Private Navajo Guide.

点评：I was staying 2nts at The View Hotel in Monument Valley without my own vehicle, so I booked a 3.5hr tour with Three Sisters Navajo Guided Tours from the list of tour operators on The View Hotel website.
So glad I did, the main 'public' roadway in the park was quite busy with day trippers however, being on a tour allowed me the opportunity to explore the Navajo 'Back Country' entering into areas not accessible to the public without a guide. Helen was brilliant, she showed me some places that I had only seen on Google Images, and she put a name to them all. She was very informative and explained the significance of many sites around the park including a visit to a traditional Navajo Hogan. Helen was happy to take charge of my camera and took photos of me at every stop including a stop for some traditional, homemade Navajo Fry Bread and a coffee.
At the Big Hogan (hole in the rock) she treated me to a short session of Navajo music with a small drum and rattle in hand, her chant echoed around the site. It was a wonderful experience and not another tourist in sight before we headed back to The View Hotel. It was a great day. Highly recommend.
