Had a total Blast exploring this rugged spot on the Durham coastline

点评：This is such an interesting section of the Durham Heritage Coast to visit. A lot quieter than the other beaches, I visited on a sunny Saturday morning and only passed a few people, it was so peaceful.
The place is steeped in industrial history and has been totally transformed into the tranquil spot we see today. I read up on the area and was totally surprised at the images of the past. It’s such an intriguing place, there’s even been a number of tv shows and movies filmed here!
There are a couple car parks at the top of the cliffs, which cost £1 an hour, pretty cheap in comparison to other beauty spots. I walked down the cliff side to get onto Blast Beach, but those with limited mobility may struggle, there are steps if you walk further along the cliff top, but again they are still pretty steep.
I spent a good few hours here, it’s a lovely walk with lots to explore, I highly recommend it.
