点评:Was really looking forward to coming to the Lickey Hills with my 6 year old son and was firstly greeted by a lovely group who had organised an in memory walk for the Children’s hospital. We decided to walk to Beacon Hill to see the castle and walked on the public footpaths that lead next to and through the golf course. Unfortunately, as soon as we stepped onto a path (even though we were mindful of the golfers) a man in his 60’s decided to unleash a barrel of abuse at us both. Rather than say please would you mind while I play my hole he shouted to get the “f” off so he could play his hole. As such, my son burst out in tears, whilst he and his friends stood their aggressively moaning. As a person who works with young sports people I find this utterly disgusting. This is a public footpath, not a private golf course. My son then spent the rest of the day worried about walking anywhere near the golf course and we had to walk about by the road as he was too scared of the angry man. On arrival at Beacon Hill, there was lots of dog mess just left on the field which my son’s football went into. Won’t be coming back if this is how people treat the place and it’s visitors!!!
