点评:I’ll caveat this review with the fact I had just been to the market at the arcades and bought a lot of stuff there. The items were all very similar to the arcades market and each little stall has pretty much the same items. It is all beautiful stuff and there’s plenty of choice. The people are lovely and I’d encourage you to get talking to them. I chatted to some of the men about football and shared photos on my phone of games I’d been to which they really liked. I also watched one of them hand carving a walking stick for his store using really rudimental tools. Super talented. I felt the pricing here was quite fair and they didn’t try to take the piss unlike some of the traders at the arcades market who asked astronomical prices. There is clearly a desperation for money and they really would take whatever you can give them - all I’d say is consider what the value is if the item you’re buying before haggling because honestly what they ask for is fair in my opinion and sometime haggling isn’t really fair. I bought stuff I didn’t even really want just to support them and I could tell they appreciate the custom. The only thing is that just like other markets, the sellers do pester you to enter the stores and it can be quite draining. They also don’t want to give you any change and will try to upsell you to take something else from their store instead of giving change. Worth a visit though!
