点评:We 'discovered' these beautiful gardens when looking through a BBC Gardeners' World magazine 2 for 1 offer. The drive to and from them through country lanes through Benenden and Rolvended was very scenic in itself, but these well-kept gardens and surrounding wooded areas are an absolute delight.
Although other reviewers here visiting in April were able to view the bluebell forests, there was plenty of colour in May - not least the 'Vineyard' - a spectacular semi circular pergola wisteria walkway. Massive borders of Azaleas and rhododendrons were also still in bloom.
We had a wheelchair user amongst our family (there are some wheelchairs available to use free of charge) yet the vast majority of the gardens were either still accessible or had alternative access routes.
The tearooms were of good standard - we sat in an open marquee in the Stable courtyard (in pleasant sunshine) for a spot of lunch - very enjoyable and reasonably good value for money.
Quite a gem of a place to spend 3-4 hours - highly recommended.
