点评：A Brilliant performance of 'Twelfth Night' by William Shakespeare.
The performance of 'Twelfth Night'
It was a beautiful summer's evening when Margaret and I entered the Norwich Cathedral cloisters to watch a performance of William Shakespeare's classic comedy, 'Twelfth Night'.
The imposing cathedral spire rose above us as we eagerly awaited the performance to start. People were craning their necks to try to catch sight of the famous peregrine falcons that have been residents here for the last few years.
The Lord Chamberlain's Men were prepared for the performance, and some were selling programmes and souvenir tea towels in costume to the enthusiastic audience.
Then followed an excellent adaptation of the play, with the actors cast brilliantly and adapting and excelling their skills in their individual roles. The audience laughed heartily, and the actors encouraged this reaction with a superb performance.
We enjoyed this performance enormously and we would thoroughly recommend The Lord Chamberlain's Men. We enjoyed a brilliant adaptation of 'Hamlet', performed by them last year, and we're already looking forward to the planned performance of 'Othello' at Norwich Cathedral Cloisters next year, on the 3rd and 4th of July 2026.
We have to commend the Norwich Cathedral people responsible for organising this brilliant experience.
