点评：This is an appropriate attraction for this week as the Women's UEFA Euro is played in Basel with a quarterfinal between two Basel neighbors Germany and France. One of the things at the core of a Basel visit is so many countries in one place. This marker on the Rhine River is a tangible testament to the city's international importance.
While your time in the city can feel totally Swiss, any view from a building, hill or over the river is likely to show you 2 if not 3 countries. It is a fact you will quickly grasp when you arrive by plane, train or boat. Basel's location is one of the things that makes it a great place and that includes having 3 countries so close together.
We had a chance to see the triangle marker when we started our trip down the Rhine. I had thought we would board at the port terminal so I could walk to it, but we boarded at St. Johanns Tower, so I had to see it from the river. As we began to sail down the Rhine, I left the dinner table to go topside for a couple of pictures of this landmark to mark where 3 countries come together. It is unique to find such places, especially just peaceful places.
