Beautiful fascinating gardens, so much to see
新加坡滨海湾花园的点评
点评：Gardens By The Bay is made up of lots of different bits, so see my other reviews for Cloud Forest, Flower Dome and Supertree Observatory. The gardens themselves are lovely and really nice to just wander around. The World of Palms area was great but the Secret Life of Trees was actually really fascinating and I feel like I learnt things about trees I didn’t already know! It’s also worth wandering up to Kingfisher Lake which is very lovely. We didn’t see any kingfishers but we did see a turtle, lots of frogs and also a water monitor lizard which looked very cute until we saw the sign further round about how they have a venomous bite and should be avoided! They’re currently in the process of setting up for Christmas Wonderland (visited in the first week of November) which made it feel a bit like a building site, and there was some big structure in the middle of the Supertree Grove which was really unfortunate and spoilt it slightly. It got in the way of the Rhapsody lightshow in the evening as well which was a shame.
That’s not to be missed though! If you want to lay down around the base of one of the Supertrees, then you’ll need to get there at least an hour beforehand. We did do that, but it probably wasn’t necessary. It was nice to look up at the lights at times but if you stand off to one side of the Grove then you possibly get a better view.

翻译：滨海湾花园由许多不同的区域组成，所以请参阅我之前关于云雾林、花穹和擎天树观景台的评论。花园本身就很美，非常适合漫步其中。棕榈世界很棒，但树木的秘密生活展区更是引人入胜，我感觉自己学到了很多以前不知道的树木知识！翠鸟湖也值得一去，那里景色优美。我们没有看到翠鸟，但看到了一只乌龟、许多青蛙，还有一只水巨蜥，它看起来很可爱，直到我们看到附近的告示牌，上面写着它们有毒，应该避免接触！他们目前正在为圣诞仙境做准备（我们是在11月的第一周去的），所以感觉有点像个建筑工地，擎天树丛中间还有一个大型建筑，这真的很可惜，稍微破坏了它的美感。而且，它还挡住了晚上的“狂想曲”灯光秀，真是遗憾。
不过，这可千万别错过！如果你想躺在擎天树下欣赏灯光，至少要提前一个小时到达。我们当时就是这么做的，但其实可能没必要。抬头看看灯光确实很美，但如果你站在树林的一侧，或许能获得更好的视野。
