点评：Totally Blown Away by how good this was, right from the very beginning of the booking process through to walking out of the building with a grin 3 miles wide!
Turn up early and get the lay of the land is good advice, you get a great view of the track from the viewing platform and can start to work out racing lines by watching other drivers and studying the track.
At the allocated time we go into the prep room and watch a video and get a talk about the karts, the track and general safety, it's very thorough! They take safety very seriously and it's no prisoners for ignoring the warnings.
By this time we're kitted out in the kart suit and have the gloves and balaclava, just the helmet to collect. We individually go to the helmet fitting hatch and are assessed and fitted with our helmets, mine was perfect.
Next, out to the pits area where you can see which number kart is yours for the session. You're checked for helmet fastening then when given the all clear go over to your kart and sit and wait and make any seat adjustments. Not long!
There are 4 lanes in the waiting area at the pit and once the previous session is fully off track, it's your turn. The karts have limiters controlled by the staff, you begin slow then the limiter comes off and you go ..... fast!
It's up to you then, drive cautious, drive fast, work it out, follow fast drivers, whatever tactic you like. JUST GREAT, GREAT FUN!
I got a second place out of 16 and beat my mate so was just over the moon. These are just words, please go and try it for yourself, it's incredibly well organised, safe and will have you smiling all the way home!
