Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway的点评
点评：Home to the "smallest pub on the planet",eateries, gift shops, crazy golf, an exhibition, & most importantly the trains / railway itself, the CCLR is a good way to wile away an hour or two when in Cleethorpes.
Whilst the Kingsway station was only operational for embarking / disembarking on the few days we visited, the lakeside station was vibrant with music, food options, & people enjoying a beverage (or two) in the sun. If Mr rain does put in appearance, there is a massive canopied area btw!
The rail journey is relaxing, & one of the few opportunities that exist today to smell the smell of a burning coal fire, as the engine pulls you along in your choice of open or covered carriages.
Very well maintained and run operation that has been there for decades (see the history of the line in their exhibition).
Timetable & prices are available on their website.
The only negative was that it doesn't appear to operate to the Humberston North Sea Lane end of the line anymore, (or certainly wasn't whilst we were there). Hopefully this will get addressed soon & people will be able to enjoy the entire line whenever they come.
