点评：Excellent day out! Became a little wary of this planned holiday visit after reading some reviews on trip advisor. Anybody else feeling the same, I would strongly suggest you completely ignore the negative scores and comments!! Family visit, including an 87 year old, we all had a wonderful day out. The botanical gardens are amazing and we found the day good value for money. The train ride was well worth the extra little cost. It enabled us to get a really good view of all the park and was great fun!!! The Orangerie was good prices for good quality, cheaper than the pubs and other eateries in the area. Each and every member of staff we were in contact with from paying our entry, to the train driver, to the staff in the canteen were very friendly and helpful. The Countryside Museum was a huge bonus and can see all the work put into creating the collections over the years. It was not just the 87 year old who recognised items!! The trees are magnificent and the formal gardens can see being planted up with pansies and wallflowers for winter displays. We all said if we lived nearer we would certainly have bought annual tickets and made many returns visits. Hope to be on holiday in the area again and if we are we will very much look forward to a return visit.
