Robbers Cave State Park的点评
点评：We booked cabin 101 months in advance & were told at check in that we had been moved to cabin 102 because the heat broke in 101. (Cabins 101 & 102 are the only ones that can be requested/rented specifically & are at the end of the road & the most secluded.) It turned out fine because we loved the rustic look of 102 & you can pull the car right up to the cabin. (It looks like both 101 & 102 have the pretty, rustic wood floors & rustic paneling- not the ugly updated white walls.) 102 does have brand new appliances & a nice walk in shower with never ending hot water. We were still able to sit outside 101 to enjoy the views. The fireplaces are electric & the battery was dead in the remote so it stayed on our entire trip, which was fine because it was cold out. There is satellite tv and the cell service was awesome. We brought everything we needed to cook with & eat on because these are not stocked cabins. We brought coffee for the pot & extra blankets. The living room stayed warm but it does get chilly in the bedroom because of all the windows so bring a blanket/warm pj’s in the winter. The only thing we forgot was a can opener but there is a Dollar General about 5 min away for anything you forget. Because the cabins are pet free, this was a nice, quiet area. The hiking trails are beautiful! This park had the cleanest bathrooms I’ve ever seen in a park. I fully expected a vault toliet at the cave trail & was surprised that it was a super clean, heated regular bathroom. You can get ice, wood & bait at the park store. There is a small nature center. There were tons of tent camping spots, rv spots, an on-site restaurant that was closed during our stay, a pool, swim area with kayak, canoe, & water tricycle rentals & a tiny mini golf. I would love to go back & visit in the summer when we can try the restaurant & all of these things. They also rent golf carts at reasonable prices too which we didn’t do but maybe next time.
