点评:We were a bit disappointed with our visit to Monkey World. At £19 per adult, the tickets felt steep considering the experience. The infrastructure and facilities feel quite dated – like stepping back into the 90s – and the whole place could really benefit from some modernisation.
They’ve got the right idea almost with things like annual entry for monkey sponsors, but the execution needs work. It’s clear they haven’t quite harnessed the potential of repeat visitors in the way many modern attractions do.
We couldn’t help but feel that a soft play area, a splash park, and improved catering (with better staffing) would really elevate the experience for families and encourage people to return more regularly.
That said, we were impressed with their accessibility: great toilet facilities, sensory swings, visual aids for those with visual impairments, and a good system in place for borrowing disability buggies. The large car park was also a bonus.
Unfortunately, despite the good intentions and fantastic rescue work they do, it’s not somewhere we’d return to – at least not in its current form. Definitely a one-time visit.
