希德蔻特花园的点评
点评：Luckily, we’re members as the adult admission price is now an eye watering £20.80. We knew that a lot of the high summer colour would be over, but there was enough to interest us as we wandered around. The 200 piece sculpture installation is on view until the beginning of November. Some enhanced the gardens and sat well within the environment, others seemed to have been “plonked” just anywhere without much thought and there were just too many of them in the Maple Garden for example. Some paths in that area were trip hazards and need urgent repairs.
We had a coffee and shared some cake from the cafe. We decided to sit outside. As the inside seating area was small and almost full when we were there, it would have been a good idea to have wiped some of the tables down after the morning’s drizzle.
Hidcote is worth visiting for its iconic vistas and outdoor room layout, it has a unique atmosphere and we look forward to returning at a different time of year.
