点评:We booked for a lunchtime meal as a celebration. The food was lovely but the service was not acceptable.
No one greeted us with a smile or welcome and this attitude continued throughout the meal which spoilt our experience and left us feeling grumpy and annoyed.
The service was far too slow even though we understood that the tapas was cooked freshly to order. The waitresses seemed to ignore us and when asked for some more mayonnaise that request was not forthcoming. No one asked us how are food was so we could explain our disappointment with the service and the sad lack of mayonnaise.
A quietly spoken mumbling waitress could not bring herself to speak up even after we repeatedly said pardon! We just don’t expect to be annoyed when we’re paying good money to eat out.
When it came to paying the lack of service continued while the waitress complained about the technology not working so we stood there for ages wondering what the problem was with the computer method of payment? The queue became quite long and no apologies were given let alone a smile. We also bought four boxes of wine which was self service again without an offer of help.
This behaviour of irritation and lack of genuine hospitality spoilt our meal which should’ve been a splendid occasion.
