Poor docents except the blacksmith, who was great!
Muckross Traditional Farms的点评
点评:We were given a map upon entry and the clerk described all the homes we would see, including the school. The school is what I, a teacher, most wanted to see. When we got there, we discovered it was closed. The clerk should have told us it was closed before we paid. At farmhouse number one, the woman was making bread and was very interesting to listen to. The other two farmhouses had women working who had no desire to talk to the people who had come to see them! The second woman was very curt in her answers, and the woman at the third house told us she knew nothing about the house and the things in it. She only knew how to make butter. The blacksmith, on the other hand, was fascinating. He made a hook in the form of a dog head while we were there and he explained each step as he made it. If the women in the other houses had been as informative as he, we would have stayed hours.
